Lavender is probably the best known of the essential oils. Distilled from the plant Lavandula Angustifolia, this oil is very versatile and is great for the following; Relaxation and anxiety Fungal infections Depression Insomnia Burns Acne Exhaustion Soothing eczema and dry skin.  Nausea Menstrual Cramps   Unlike other essential oils, Lavender can be taken orally and applied to the skin.
