HISTORY

The substance commonly known as Jojoba Oil is not really an oil, but instead a liquid wax ester, extracted from the seeds of the botanical Simmondsia chinensis. Jojoba is an evergreen shrub that is cold-pressed to make a relaxing carrier oil, grown in the desert of Israel.

The term Jojoba comes from the word Hohowi, a name given by the O'odham, a Native American group who found the usefulness of Jojoba seeds to the crops–or the "beans / nuts."

Jojoba is a pleasant, nutty-scented oil that can be easily absorbed and added. This contains a lot of carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals to maintain our skin clean and supple.

Uses

  • Jojoba oil can be used for washing, drying, moisturizing, and treating or avoiding fungal infections on skin, hair and nails. A few drops of Jojoba Oil can be added to a facial clay and applied several times a week to create a moisturizing face mask.
  • Rich and soft, our jojoba oil can be used for topical application to dilute essential oils. And, you can even use it to create a pure and luxury bath and body items.
