A carrier oil is an oil that is made from natural plants and is used for diluting essential oils so that they can be carried to the skin – hence the name. Although they are unscented, they have their own components and characteristics, with different colours, viscosities, and penetration speeds, and they lubricate the skin to allow for easy and effective massage without making it sticky.
