Frankincense

So why is Frankincense is awarded the title “The King of Oils”?  Does it date back to its well-versed uses in the birth of Christ?  Because it is one of the more expensive oils to purchase? Or is it because of its versatility, and powerful anti-aging properties?  

Frankincense Essential Oil comes from the Boswellia Carterii tree, native to Somalia and regions of Pakistan. This sacred tree which produces Frankincense & Myrrh are practically impossible to grow outside of the Arabian Peninsula, resultant they are in short supply and high in demand.

How fitting then that the word ‘Frankincense’ came from the old French translation of ‘franc encens’, which means ‘quality incense’.
